THE ORIGINAL BEATLES BOX FROM LIVERPOOL
(December 1980 - World Records (SM701/8) EMI-Parlaphone (Box) PEL-51-81

This album collection package was compiled and sold by a subsidiary of EMI entitled "World Records" had put out a mail order box set of the Beatles. This box set contained eight records/LPs and basically came in a box with the cover looking like a shipping crate.

It was never commercially released in the United Kingdom.

onsists of 124 Beatles tracks arranged chronologically from Love Me Do, the group's first Parlaphone single, to Her Majesty, the final cut on Abbey Road.

All albums were issued on the EMI/Parlaphone label. Albums are untitled.

Each album's cover features a previously unpublished color photo of the Beatles on the front and extensive liner notes detailing their career during the period represented by the album's songs on the back.

The Box Collection was designed to look like a wooden shipping crate, carrying the words "From Liverpool" stenciled in black ink across the top, along with a small snapshot of the Beatles pasted across the front of the crate.

Each album has its own unique cover and extensive sleeve notes.

This collection was only for sale through EMI's mail order division, World Records Ltd. (A member of the THORN EMI Group).
